Hi everyone! I really need some help on this one! I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or how to go about fixing this problem!
Ok so I just completed my very first short project. I shot it in 24p and downloaded it to youtube. I exported the project in FCE with these settings

h.264
single pass
2,000 kbs
320X240 qvca
Deinterlaced the video

With following all the steps that I thought was right, the movie still looks grainy and shaky and the faces look distorted. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help? I linked the movie down below! Thanks

Don't deinterlace 24p footage, at least I never do. ANother problem is just youtube, they compress the hell out of the best footage. Good job on the short.

RIght, theres no reason to deinterlace progressive footage, cause there isnt anything to deinterlace. Make sure that you tell your NLE that it is progressive footage tho, there will be somewhere to check that says something about field order or something of that sort (I'm on PremierePro so its all a different layout) and that should be set to progressive. Another thing you might try is to export it with HD settings and upload it to Vimeo as it supports HD, and that will givew you higher (although not full HD) quality.
