Need Help Creating Canon XF300 / XF305 Picture Profiles

Ok, so if you read the Canon forum with any regularity, you know I have a Canon XF300. I love the camera so far, but I feel like it's not reaching it's full potential. There's an immense amount of customization that can happen with these cameras, much like the XLH1 & XHA1 cameras, but even more so.

The unfortunate part of all of this is that I'm not the best at working on creating solid picture profiles because I'm not 100% confident in my understanding of what all these settings can do. If there is anyone in Los Angeles that is versed in creating custom profiles, and would like to work with me and the XF cameras in creating some CP's, send me a PM.

There's not much out there yet, and I'd love to change that. Thanks!

I would love to see you try the Panalook preset on this thing...see how close you can get it settings wise to what the A1 would give. I'm not sure of the menu differences, but that preset is what gave me this in camera: http://www.standingfirmmovie.com Very little CC on the entire film...besides some levels and white balance when we didn't dial it in quite right.

That's a good call - I should start with the mounds of research done with the A1 presets. I'll try to adapt the Panavision to the XF300.

thanks for the tip!
