Need help ASAP!!!

1). File Import, Log and Transfer.

2). Change your real time settings to unlimited (RT button on top left of time line). Also, check box that says "don't warn next time".

Dropped frames are due to A) having a slow computer, B) Editing with the wrong sequence preset, C) Too many effects and layers for your computer to handle OR D) Editing of very high data rates.

Maybe you should read a book or get some training via DVD to help you navigate through the minutia.

youd also be VERY well advised to capture out to a (non lacie or my book) firewire800 external drive.

capturing to the drive youre booting from is HIGHLY unwise. and MIGHT be to blame for your dropped frame issues...

brandon - seriously dude. i know ive been hard on you. but you REALLY need to THINK about how you TITLE your posts...

"question" and "need help" as a title do a HUGE disservice to people who come after you who might gain some wisdom from your post. if someone has a problem like this and does a search next week for "capture in final cut pro" this thread would come up. but most people would be more likely to click on other search results that had TITLES better suited to their problem. even though YOURS could likley solve their problem.

you need to realise that these forums are as much for others with similar problems who come after you, as they are for yours.

think of titles like "need to shoot inside a car" or "live capture to FCP"

im sorry to be so hard on you and call you out, but it seems that you have a lot of enthusiasm but its really misguided. im just trying to help.

How do I log & capture in Final Cut Pro with the HVX200a on 1080 HD. Please help
fast!

1080 HD means very little without detailing frame rates.

24p will be different that 24pa.

That information and what dedicated media drive you are using also is important data.

Finally, look at the other message headers in this section or throughout DVXUSER.

They are descriptive of an issue rather than "please help."

Try to be descriptive in your subject header. It will generate more responses.
