Need good digital camera for production stills

Can you guys recommend me a digital camera max $250 that I am going to use for behind the scenes, production stills, and stills for covers etc.

You'll be in the consumer range for this price unless you buy a used DSLR like the first version Rebel that I have and use and still love.


Whatever you get try to get atleast 6 megapixel so then you'll be able to do 8x10s without much trouble or bigger.. and try to get one that shoots in RAW which is good for post tweeks and just to keep things easier..


Personally I'd say to borrow one or save up and get an entry level Nikon or Canon DSLR.. you'll be so much happier if you do that.

you could probably pick up a used Nikon D50 body for a good price. Then go on Ebay and get a few older prime lenses for $50 each and you're set

If you are talking point and shoot then any of the high end Canons will work.

But I would get the smallest DSLR you can find if you want quality picts.
