I'm needing some extra batteries for my DVX100b, and I was wonder if the cheap ones they sell on ebay are a bad choice, i don't know.
I'm overseas and the DVXuser batt looks a little too expensive to me.

I don't know if it allowed to talk about other batteries that are not the DVXuser ones, if not please excuse me.

TIA

TIA,

First of all, this site is hosted in the US so you're allowed to talk about whatever you want.

Second, I would suggest that 'you get what you pay for'. I don't know the batteries on eBay but if they are cheap then they might not be so great. Why not save a little extra money so you can buy a good DVX battery, either from DVXuser or Panasonic?

Cheers

The DVXUser battery is worth it's weight in GOLD! I keep my Panasonic battery as a spare now, but the DVXUser one never comes off. I joined this forum and bought the battery the following week. Best DVX purchase I've ever made. Well, except for the firestore, but that's why I needed the big battery!

ok, thanks for the replies.
I understand what you mean, and of course I'll be very happy with a DVXuser battery, but how much it cost to me shipped to Uruguay?

I'll check the DVXuser batt thread.

thanks again

i work in an equipment cage and have been forced to buy "the cheapest battery's on amazon" half of them are coming apart and have been taped together. The panasonic battery's that we've had since the original dvx100 came out have lasted longer then the cheap ones.

In fact one of my tasks today is to super glue the new batterys back together!

I've asked at the local panasonic store for some 5400mAh batteries, and they cost $315 each! i think that's insane, I can buy 3 dvxuser batteries with that money, shipping from US included and have some money left...

Are dvxuser batts as good as they said?

I bought two of the DVXUser batteries 2-3 years ago and they have served me well. One of them fell and the plastic casing cracked a bit, but it still works as well as it ever did!

Just in case you were not aware, LithIon batteries pack a considerable amount of power into a small space. Lithion batts have been known to be exploding all over the place, causing irrepairable damage to the equipment they were powering. And they blow up VERY fast. While contemplating which battery to buy, I researched the sh@% out of DVX user batteries and finally went with them over a $200.00 5400mah panny stock. I would NEVER buy a 2 for $25.00 batteries off ebay with no performance tracking as I would hate for them to suddendly catch fire to my unattended $3000.00 camera while it sits and melts away on my tripod.

Anyone get 7 hours record time plus tape switching time with the battery that came with their DVX?

Cause I do.
Is that normal?

thanks for your advice! I'll store my batts away from my camera. Hope the new DVXuser batt doesn't explode!!
