Tell me what I need to know about using the C100 to cover a wedding. I have been using a couple Canon 60D's for the last few years, moving to the C100.

Any advice welcome. Even though I am a pro, I do not have much shooting experience with the C100.

Thanks
jeff

well. I moved from 5D2 to C100 couple months ago, and Ive already did 3 full day weddings using C100.

There is seriously not a single advice I can give ya since I dont know anything about your shooting style.

But there is one thing that Im pretty sure, C100 overkills a simple wedding coverage.

It is actually so hard to screw up a wedding unless you dont know anything about the camera.

Go through wedding timeline, know exactly whats gonna happen next, and just be a labour.

C100 wont be a block between you and your work. it is so easy to use.

I thought I report back my thoughts on the C100 for the wedding I shot last Satereday.

Keep in mind I received the camera on Friday and started shooting Saturday morning at 11:00 am. I have traditional video cameras like the Panny AC130 but mostly use the Canon 60D before this for wedding work. FYI: Canon has a few training videos about the C100 that were a big help. I watched them all before I got the camera.

- The C100 is very easy to pick up and start using
- The layout of the camera is so well thought out, it just works
- Picture quality is fabulous
- To big? Not really, but coming from the 60D it is bigger. It takes a little bit to get use to.
- I felt like I could cover anything the wedding day could through at me.
- With a little color correction, it does mix with the 60D picture, however the 60 looked so much softer then the C100 picture.
- Worth $5500? Yep, even though I think it is overpriced about $500. It is still worth $5500 if that makes any sense.
- The only regret is the C100 makes my other camera look like crap :)

dude Ive already told you this.

See my first C100 wedding below! I used the C100 as the lead camera. In the ceremony it is the center aisle, main level. I used 60Ds for the other 2 cameras.
