neat video

is a blessing. spend the money...it's worth every penny...especially when it comes to the d90. it actually takes out a lot of the macro blocking and inevitable noise on slower lens. i recommend it

A+

Would it be possible to see some Before/After shots using it?

I do take your word for it but I'd love to see the results.

yeah, i'll post some later on today/tonight if i get the time. are you referring to the AE de-noise filter? or neat video for AE?
i'll have to find the original thread so i can post the results in there.

I think there is no such filter in ae isn`t it? I mean the effect "Remove Grain". I got some good results with it. It´s not the same thing like "noise reduction" but I suppose it doesn´t differ pretty much.

BTW: Is the Neat Video Plugin for PP, AE...the same as the Photoshop-Plugin? With an equal interface?

If so, I´m lucky because I own it...

Yeah, Neat Video is very impressive and reasonably priced - I would buy it in an instant if they offered a Mac version. But as it's PC only, I don't typically want to boot into another OS just to run some footage through a plug-in, unless it's absolutely vital.

there's a remove noise, but it all it does is just blur the image

problem with that is you have to do it frame by frame...no fun and would take about 3years to do

3 years are a bit too long. What about converting the clip in a "smart object" and it´s done by one click? The only downside is rendering does take a tiny weeny bit more of time... ;)

Where do you find this effect? I can´t find it...

The "remove grain" does a little bit more. Take a look:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/Aft...t=WSAE104790-DF54-4d29-84BC-91E9F2617773.html

"While many techniques, such as applying a mild Gaussian Blur effect or the Median effect, reduce the visibility of noise in an image, the tradeoff is an unavoidable loss of sharpness and highlights. The Remove Grain effect, in contrast, differentiates fine image detail from grain and noise and preserves the image detail as much as possible."
