Could easily add a collar to prevent light leakage. Samples from the particular Polaroid in the thread listed above. It fits extremely snug and I am not worried about it falling out.

I use this setup whenever I use the 7-14 in bright light. Very reliable. I use a strip of velcro wrapped around to cover the space that light could leak.

i've seen someone used an oversized lens hood and fitted it back to front. worked a treat.

I had always considered designing a filter holder for the 7-14. just not sure if there was enough demand for investment. would you guys buy one if it were available?

Are you testing the setup on a BMPC instead of a GH? I just tried a solid ND (67mm Tiffen Digital HT) with the 7-14mm & on a GH3 is vignettes badly at focal lengths wider than about 11mm.

My god that is huge lol. that's pretty much what my design would have been although simplified to just a screw in filter. just tested my 77 ND and it doesn't come close to covering at 7mm. I guess thats why the fotodiox ones are monster size.
