NBA Playoffs Thread

Jazz have to be very aggressive tonite and draw fouls on the Lakers, otherwise they might get blown out.

Expect a HUGE homecourt advantage for the Lakers tonite in regards to refs. It would make David Stern cry if the Lakers were out in the 2nd round.

By HUGE homecourt advantage I hope you mean:

Turiaf won't get ejected for making a play on the ball

If Walton goes up for a layup, gets it blocked from behind, and the player who blocks it knocks him off the court with his body, a foul will be called

They will call fouls on Boozer when he pushes off to get his rebounds.

The whistle had already blown on the Turiaf play. Vujacic had already put up his arm to refs signaling his foul before Turiaf knocked him down.

The Price block should have been a foul.

They all push off to get rebounds so that is a moot point, imo.

It's no secret that the NBA is salivating over a LakersCeltics ratings blockbuster.

Damn NBA and their officiating; just call a foul or don't, you know ?

This may go 7.

I like the drama

Still a good game for the most part. Fun, which is what the playoffs should be about !

well, I'm a little disappointed in myself for abandoning the Spurs after originally picking them. But I think this proves the whole age thing I was talking about. 3 of the 4 teams are the oldest in the NBA. I'm not sure about the Lakers. Kobe's 30, right? Gasol is only 27 or 28 though I think.

either way, it's now the Spurs title to lose.

ping pong balls tonight!

Lakers are very young. Kobe isn't 30 yet and I think Fisher is the only guy over 30 (33). I think Duncan is a step slower but Parker and Manu are better than ever and they've been together a long time. Title goes through Texas.

Ginobli is my only concern. He gets under man and he's always spot-on, drives me nuts. He's been a killer on the Lakers too. I should know, he took me to the Finals in my fantasy league :(

Go Lakers!

thank god they won... i really don't want the Spurs to win (no offense to the fans) I'm a Suns fan, failing that I really liked the Hornets...

I'd like to see Lakers vs. Celtics in the finals.
