Hello, the 25mm Leica is just too narrow for me (especially in 4K) and therefore the journey for a new lens has started. Can anybody recommend me a great wide lens?
The qualities I would like are good build, native (don´t have adapters atm), manual focus preferably and of course Image Quality. I want the lens to be able to produce quality TV picture, but also do be able to produce filmic look for Documentary films.

So far Im torn between those two:

http://www.amazon.com/Rokinon-CV12M...nkId=CMFWQVAMB5KYT5OB&creativeASIN=B00K3T3PXW Rokinon 12mm T2.2

I would prefer the SLR Magic, anybody had experiences with it? Or is the Rokinon one better?
Any other wide lens suggestions are welcome as well.

Did you see the announcement for the SLR Magic 10mm? I played with it very briefly in May and should get a copy shortly. Won't have any footage for a month due to a Far East trip, but that should give it a good workout.

In the meantime here's a video from Seb Farge. He has a very stylized aesthetic so take it for what it's worth. From memory and his example I'm sure this will be a great wide addition. Similar size and a little pricier than the 12mm but well worth it IMHO.

Also keep an eye out for more footage from others if you're interested. Availability is expected around the end of October.

Yes I saw it. Not sure about it yet. 10mm is 20mm + 4K mode adds 3-4mm so it is like 24mm which is good, but I was aiming more to the 28mm wide angle with the 12mm. (12=24+3-4 is 28mm)
But what do you personally use for the wide angle at the moment?

In Native options the Panasonic 7-14 is great if you are shooting daylight footage. In lower light conditions I used the Tokina 11-16 w speedbooster. I don't use super wide shots often so I just rent one of these two when it makes sense.

Ah, okay, forgot the 7-14mm. Anyway ordered the 12mm Rokinon for the time being, hope it gets here fast.
