naming HVX clips?

so, whenever I import my HVX clips (from mt P2) they genereate these useless tag names (like (0047SZ) that have nothing to do with their order or anything else for that matter.

Is there a way to decide what your HVX names these clips so I can manage my capture scratch better?

You can rename them when logging them for a XML export to FCP using p2 Log or HD Log.

yeah, that is kind of whacky.

If you have several clips on one card (or directory that you transferred them to), take a closer look at the first 4 places (of the 6 that are available before the ".mxf") in the video subdirectory and see if you see a pattern . . .

i.e., 0004XK, 0002WW, 0001QB, 0003XC or something like that (it may be just the first three places, I can't remember).
