NAB - What's your camera wishlist?

An FS100 with a 10-bit, 4:2:2, 50mbps (at least) internal codec, HD/SDI out, gen-lock and TC in/out. The FS100 takes amazing video, but it's just missing too many professional features to be taken seriously. Of course, that would put it in F3 cost territory.
So, all of the above for a few thousand more than it lists for now. Pipe dream, I know.

They announced AVC-Ultra last year, which had provisions for 4:4:4 at up to 4K res. So while they haven't announced a specific camera that's 4K or QuadHD, clearly they're preparing for it.
They first announced AVC-Ultra in 2009 and announced last year that they had extended it to 4K. But, yes, it's obvious they're planning for it. But if they don't announce a 4K or QuadHD camera at NAB, they'll be at least a year behind the others.

I'm on a budget, so I am looking for something under $10K. The likely candidates would probably one of the following...

- Upgraded AF-100 : New sensor, 10-bit recording ( even if it's external ), higher internal bit-rate ( even if it means P2 media )

- Upgraded FS-100 : 10-bit recording ( even if it's external ), higher internal bit-rate

- Panasonic GH-3 : New sensor, greater dynamic range, head-phone jack for audio monitoring, higher internal bit-rate

- Micro 4/3 Cine lenses : yes I'm dreaming, but it would be nice to have a few M4/3 lenses actually made for cine work

How about one more teaser Mitch! Please! :p

OK, I know of multiple cameras. And there's also news on lenses. And lighting. Several interesting developments, some of which I believe will replace current established technology. And that will be a good thing.

Also at least a few key products will be getting updates/upgrades. Some of them free, with some really sweet features.

That's all for now. Come the beginning of April these things will begin to announce or at least leak out. Good stuff, exciting times.

Awesome. Do you imagine that we'll be moving to 4K as an acquisition standard sooner rather than later?

You can ask all the questions you want, but I really can't get any more specific than I already have. Y'all tryin' to get me in trouble!

USA Retail Price for an AF-100 = $4,995

WISHLIST #1 = $6,995 for an AF-100 with (2) P2 Slots and DVC Pro HD (just like the good ole HVX200)

WISHLIST #2 = $8,995 for an AF-100 with (2) P2 Slots and AVC-Intra

Panasonic has the technology, but do they have the desire?

Due to the nature of some of the work I do, there are 2 things interesting me:

4K

and

Sony's square 36mmx36mm sensor. If they add a video mode, that will be amazing

36x36mm sensor means new lenses (or black corners) - your 36x24mm full frame lenses won't cover that, the diagonal is 43.3mm vs 50.9mm

Sony's full frame Alpha lenses and Minolta lenses will work without any issues with the new 36 x 36 sensor.
This is based on the prototype, and details may change.

But they would cover either a horizontal 36x24mm or a vertical 24x36mm slice of the sensor...

Adjustable aspect ratios?
