About $1500 more for AVCINTRA100.
I'm a little surprised by the HPX250's price, when only a few months ago Panny was saying that P2, AVC-Intra 100, and 10-bit encoding would add a substantial premium to the cost of the AF100. It seems that an AVC-Intra-ized AF100 should've been doable for about $6K -- close to the original price point mentioned for the AF100. Or they could've skipped the P2 and onboard AVC-Intra and, for a couple of hundred dollars more than the eventual price, offered 10-bit HD-SDI and HDMI.

Yeah, 12.5 MB/s really isn't very much. Your smartphone probably has more bandwidth. Amazing what Panasonic is getting away with.

Yea I really wish the AF100 had what this camera does, but we can't have it all. It's not made for the AF100 crowd anyways. The 21x zoom on it should really tell you who it was designed for. We'll see 10-bit 422 show up in their future cams I'm sure and eventually we'll have something AF100ish that has the same thing. Just takes time...

and it will come with a removable 25x zoom, a side mounted EVF and cost 4700 $ :-)))

Don't forget that zoom needs to be a constant aperture, internal focusing, parafocal lens, and must be f/1.4 with superfast auto focus wide open, be PL-mounted and cover 35mm FF for future cameras, and have a manual geared focus, zoom, and iris ring, while still being completely controllable by the camera, and be light enough to mount on the camera with out support or it will be USELESS, USELESS I tell you. Oh yea, and the lens alone cant cost more than 1K. j/k
