Doc I did for a local improv troupe shot on the GH1, 20mm 1.7 Panasonic lens and a 50mm 1.4 Panasonic.

Let me know what you think, audio again, is mostly from the GH1 with some zoom audio mixed in. Wish I sat up front to get better sound, but didn't want to be immobilized or get in someone's way shooting but alas.

They had a blue screen and I made the mistake of doing one of the interviews in front of it just to test out the GH1's keying - wall wasn't evenly lit though.

Let me know what you all think.

EDIT: Youtube HD is done

Everything looked really awesome, even the blue screen stuff looked surprisingly good. I think you pulled off the sound quite well actually.

What was your shutter speed / ISO? Was everything shot 1080?

all in all, Great job!

Thanks, there's some shimmer from the keying on the guy's head that I could just not make go away and part of his glasses are missing, but oh well. I superimposed the background over top of him with a soft light composite mode to help it match a tiny bit, but I'll tweak it some more later.

Everything yes is 1080p.

Generally the stage parts were 100-200 ISO F2.4 ish at 1/50 of a second, though I changed here and there depending on how far the subjects were from the stage lights.

You're to hard on yourself man! If you wouldn't of pointed that out I honestly wouldn't of been able to tell. haha.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to look into getting that 20mm. Would you recommend it?

YEP! By all means buy it. Only thing I can complain about is it's hard to continually focus on an object, both manually and automatically - loud autofocus and manual is hard as it needs many turns, the ring is sticky, and the DOF falloff is gradual. Other than that it gets GREAT SHARP shots and is fairly cheap.

Great job! Well produced piece - loved the flow of the editing and the interviews. Where you hand held for the whole performance or did you shoot with this promo video in mind? What kind of rig are you using to go hand held cuz everything looks awesome! I remember viewing your GH1 wedding vid and there is a huge improvement with the hand held shots. Smooth and way less jitter. Keep up the great work!

Handheld all the way! Which was hard with a 50mm lens for the stage medium shots, but pulled through.

Looks good, but the background music is not a good match and is distracting. I would remove the music track altogether.

Looks good Psynema--agree w/ pixelwrangler - good tempo/edits etc.

How about those little exterior dollies? all handheld?? It definitely looks rigged- nice job!!

I also saw the wedding vid- vast improvement- wedding vid was good...but this is better.

cheers- keep it up
