My video just went viral!!

Thanks TC and Mike.

By the way I don't condole violence but this was an idea I had and I had to execute it. I have a few more ideas some very edgy and riskay. We'll see and I'm from the same home town as George Lucas by the way. I hope he doesn't sue me. :)

This isn't violence, this is humor. The blood looks fake, there's no hole in the guy's body, the fighting is goofy (despite the real punch). No one cares. They care because it's damned amusing!

Coming up on 1-million views. Will definitely get there before midnight.

If you can somehow use this to bring attention to your indie films that would be great. I guess you didn't see this coming but you should of put a website at the end of the clip, almost a million views, even if half of those people went on the website it would of been great.

Maybe you should insert something at the end of the clip, I just watched it and saw no link to lead me anywhere else. You have to take this opportunity and run with it, FAST! As I'm sure you know, the attention span on the internet is short.
It's better to put it in the beginning since most videos lose viewers on the way.

But you can still do that though, put a note on the screen via youtube.
I did that for my Marianne trailer.

Not that it did any good. Haven't gained a lot of followers despite 2200+ views in a week.

Haha, thanks everyone. You know I would but my film and this project are completely irrelevant. No worries, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. This gang fight would work for my other feature "Kungfused". Thanks for watching.

Damn... it's gonna' break 2M in less then 3 weeks total. It's past 1.6 and not even two weeks yet.

One of my favorite comments... "GAKE AND FAY!"... (a lot of the comments are really funny)

Wowzers! Isn't he like one of (if not the most) subscribed or watched channels? That's pretty darn cool.

yeah, I just noticed it today when I saw it on the front page of Youtube. I read the title, Jedi thug? Pretty funny. Actually a 19 kid from Hawaii name Ryan Higa aka Nigahiga is the number 1 most subscribed youtuber. In fact this kid gets like 1 million views in like 3 days on average. Pretty insane and I personally know him as well. I was the editor for his very first feature titled "Ryan and Sean's Not So Excellent Adventure". Which became the #1 selling indie film on itunes due to his massive fan base. That film also stars Shorty Ross who has a show on Animal Planet called "Pit Boss". My relationship with him was a bit rough in the beginning but in the end he's a really cool guy. Met him again a few weeks ago on his latest feature.

yeah, it's only been like 9 days and it's currently at 1.8 million views. It jump almost 500,000 views today. Pretty insane. Now I can start working on the other idea I had. I wanted to do this one first because it was the easiest. Basically one shot and some ghetto vfx work.

Thanks everyone for watching it. I now have faith in "Kungfused." ;)

Kungfused... that name alone says you're a genius.

not sure if you're being sarcastic but I'll still take it as a compliment. :) I start production on that hopefully this fall. At least get the promo videos going and I'm hoping I build a fan based on youtube.

I'm not being sarcastic at all... that name is brilliant. I make jokes all the time... people don't always laugh, but "Kungfused" is the kind of joke-comment I would make.

Hey your vid is almost certainly going to pass 2M views today :) Only 40K to go. Congrats on your vid man... I said it before... man... very impressed. Now it's become exciting for me to see just how high it's going to go! I wonder if anybody sent it in to Tosh.0 yet?

The views are great, but you know you have arrived when a reviewer tosses in a Dumb & Dumber quote' "Kick his @ss Seabass!!!"

Congrats on blowin' up!

In 3 hours since my earlier post the vid has had almost 70K views... well over 2M now. (this is pretty damn cool...)

Considering we were just having a long discussion on how to make a vid go viral... I think we have a Viral Video Professor among us :)

So what are the conversations with your friends (from the video) like? They've gotta' be having fun with this too(?) Are any of those guys personal friends that you're sharing emails with, such as "holy sh*t dude... can you believe this?"...

Either way... I'm glad you're a vocal DVXuser member and shared the experience... I think we have at least one pretty good recipe for how to do a viral vid... thanks to you.
