my very first DVX footage

alright, here's some answers for the questions you guys asked

1. the song is from the famours european singer Lene's Flown away, the girl in the footage has nothing to do with the sound. (Ya i know, this ain't going to any commercial :) )
2. all i've got is a DVX100A and a Diopter, a $20 home garden dolly, can't affort any steady cam, and in New York City, if you bring a tripod shooting around the city, policeman will be right next to you in just two second. I guess i need more pratice for hand holding the camera ;)
3. the girl in the city, was trying to ask ppl around her where is the phone, but somehow no one knows what Phone is, the phone is just not belong to that world.. it's the world inside of that drug girl... and she (the one in the city) is trying to get connected with herself (the real one with drugs).
well... i guess i didn't make it clearly, it makes you guys confused... hmm, would you guys be able to give me any suggestion that how to make this more clearly? many thanks

hummm, I like it like that. It would be boring if it was too obvious, at least now people are reading into what is going on, and there probably along the lines of the girl trying to reach herself. You dont need to spell everything out to you viewers. That's my 2 cents.

I really liked this. Just not the cutting out the music like that and starting it up again, unless that's how the song really goes.

Very nice for 1st time footage....but.....

...that ringing phone HAS GOT TO GO!! A few seconds... sure...but damn.....it rang for like 30 seconds or more. WTF? It got very annoying!!

That imagery is awesome. My question is: Was it native to the shot and/or did you have to do a lot of post work? (I know most of the special effects were down like that, I am just asking about the way the regular shots looked)

Hey I think your camera work is really good. I'm new to the DVX too - I just posted our first effort with the DVX "trailer for HAND GUNS" - anyway, I sure would like to be able to make some of those shots you did. I don't know what a diopter is - or what exactly a $20 home garden dolly is - if you have the time to enlighten me I'd sure appreciate it.
I thought the story line a little weak, but your cinematography held me for the entire piece, which is rare for me, usually I get bored and click out of the posts before they are done. Check out the music video from Taipai - posted by Rook - I think you'd like it, I like it for some of the same reasons I like yours.
