My son riding a bike (and Hudson cameo's)

We thought about NoCal once for like 5 minutes but too cold up there and other factors came into play (My son's grandparents / wifes parents for example) so I mean North Carolina

Hawk

I got these:

And yes I pissed they cost me $50 duckets. Made in China for a $4.00 a unit and I pay $50.00.

Wait a minute, the last time I was down at the sweat shop they were $2.50....wtf? $4.00 sounds like a scam.

Haha Exactly

And I thought of this as I was questing for some shoes. Then I started thinking "Well where can I get some American Made Shoes that are actually good shoes?

I had no idea. :/

The shoes look sweeeeet....but you only went half way.....atleast they were Nikes.....now for your next shoe...get a pair of dunks...or better yet....big puffy ass skateboarding shoes...

OHHH MYYYY GAWWWSSSHH!!!

I just watched the bike movie.
I almost got seasick.
For my taste, much too much shakin goin on!
I always felt the urge to run to the next store, buy a tripod and send it off to the states... ;)

Also, I thought the colors were a little bit "off"
Especially the black tends to "drown" as we say here.

Otherwise nice, it does not get boring to watch, which is in my eyes already worth A LOT! Especially when watching familiy movies of strangers. So nice work on the "storyline".

regards,
Oli

Thanks Oli for that insight.

Originally I set out to do a sort of Super 8 Homage; hence the hand held shakiness. I was going to do a sort of faux aspect ratio and scratch and film look...

Once I digitized it I just wanted to get it cut and rendered :undecided

The colors are purposely overstaurated and the blacks crushed; but IRE's (NTSC) stay between 100 and 0 for the most part

Tks for watching the lil home movie.

Well...

Why not buy a Super 8 cam next time and go for the real stuff?

Isn't it strange that we take a expensive, modern thing and try to make it act like an old cheap one?

Anyways, I get your point. Watching the movie with that in mind doesn't help me in not getting seasick in any way, but at least I can now mumble "it's supposed to be that way, it's alright, it's supposed to look like that" while turning pale and grabbing the chair I'm sitting in and staring at the floor. ("look - it's a solid floor. no water! solid! no waves!") :)

pls don't take all this too serious. i'm always a little on the edge of being goofy.

Hudson's Career - Over?

Hudson's Career - Over?

Well...

Why not build a time machine,
Put your family in it,
travel back to the 70's,
buy a new Super 8 camera from Sears,
and then film your family.

I think that would give you the best, most authentic Super 8 look, especially since you were in a situation where expense, time, and laws of the physical universe were of no consequence and the absolute highest standard of production value was absolutely crucial.

The "Grandparents" as they are known in the industry, are some of the most ruthless and cutthroat producers and distributors around with the highest standards of excellence.

They are likely to see that the American movie going public will never buy the opening sequence as true Super 8. I can hear them now, "You'll never work in this town again, Hudson!"

Hey, I thought I was every Grandma's dream?

Anyone that has the balls to use Bananarama in a clip gets much respect! Nice work!

DUDE! You let a GIRL touch your DVX?!

Just kidding thartley and pooh. luv ya, mean it... :lipsrseal
