My son riding a bike (and Hudson cameo's)

Awesome that your grandparents are into the online world! That's got to be awesome for them to check this stuff out...I have been giving my grandma lessons, pretty funny. Nice footage, and that's some serious dedication to name your kid after the founder of DVXuser.com. Wow.

Nice, John. It's always great to be with your family and shoot too! The best of both worlds. Keep posting.

Hahaha! Thanks for sharing.

That's one of the great moments in life: being there to teach your children something they can use always.

And the Go-Gos rock.

EDIT: Oops, make that Bananarama.

hell yeah dude ... in a couple years he'll be on the vert ramp or in the pipe doin some sweet damage!!!

(and listening to that terrible hardcore music ... yuck!)

hey man...some hardcore music is good....thats if hot chicks come to their concerts...and they have an amazing guitarist...

haha, man I was laughing the whole time (i think it was the song), congrats to Jared!! Good work John!!! The close ups were great...the peeing part was hilarious!!! haha :)

Great movie! That was definitely worth staying up past my bed time. Though when I wake up in the morning I will probably kick myself for staying up to watch someone ride a bike. Oh the decisions we make in life!

Only John could pull off the sleeve-less DVXUser T.

Nice stuff John - I'll be 40 at the end of this month and I still remember the day my dad took the training wheels off my bike and taught me to ride. The vid brought back some memories.

of course it was only 10 years ago.................................

oh, and the wife's a hottie.

LOL

Its weird watching your kid grow up. Life. Pffftt.

(I like my sleeveless. Damn it its sunny all the time?) :(

Just wait till he's old enough to be my little actor 'seeing dead people' and all.

Muahahhahha!

Dude good stuff. And what the hell... I send you a shirt and you go and cut it up. no respect.

At least it looks good, you can be December in next years DVXuser calendar.

I thought it was going to be Jarred Land riding a bike.

I thought it was going to be Jarred Land riding a bike.

Looked good.

When I saw the post I thought you meant it was footage of Jarrend Land riding a bike LOL ... didn't know you had multiplied and been fruitful.

EDIT (8/4/1:30) See that it says "my son" all over the place, was just very tired and then read somehwere that it was Jared riding a bike and then clicked open the footage.

How the hell do you raise a cool kid, maintain a marriage with a hottie like that and post 100 bajillion times?

My GF (lives with) and I think of marriage and kids as something grown ups do (we're 32 and 33 respectively). Our two cats, and jobs, are more than we can handle most days, and yet some how you are the Lance Armstrong of posts - boggles the mind!

Might I assume from the aspect ratio that you are using Master Disejecta's photozoom method? He has turned me to the ways of cinescope as well:

I also want that DVX shirt too. Got one that's much girlier when I ordered my batteries, but I rock it anyway. Is there a link for DVXuser swag?

But yeah, video looked good, nice exposure for the sky / subject. Zooms kept it interesting, to non-relatives.

Also, next time some whackjob posts fake DVX footage and you are polite and tell him it doesn't suck only for him to punk you and tell you he shot it on a Pixel vision, or a Hollie Hobby Easbake Oven, watch this video and remember how good you truly have it my friend: DVX100a - $3000, kids bike from sears - $79, rockin your DVXuser shirt 80's style with your beautiful wife and great kid ... priceless.

LOL

It seems everyone likes my sleevless shirt as much as my wife. It's from me always playing basketball :/

This was rendered out as an MPEG2 at 720 X 480. I do this because after I collect a bunch of them I transfer them to DVD for future Family Reference purposes and want FULL SCREEN

For WEB Broadcast it is then Squeezed in Sorenson. However; I import a 4:3 Letterbox project and then Crop while maintaing same aspect ratio in Sorenson; so the file essentially goes from like 108MB to 28 MB (as in this case)

The big bene is that QT7 really handles everything nice.

JDANSTAN

LOL

Thats how my wife and I were just 5 or so years ago; she was 25 and I was 30 and we had 2 cats and we lived in a Loft Downtown in the Gaslamp (East Village -
Waaay before the ballpark and wayyyy before it was cool)

We lived in the second biggest loft in this one:

And then lived right there at street level (Right side window):

Anyway; then there was child and moving to north county san diego and now we're saving for NC

Hehe

Dude I am so gone from Socal. Too many people...... Too expensive... Schools suck... people are generally assholes...

(Sorry minor ranting episode)

Hel yeah; We're gone like Bon

If by NC you meant Northern Cali, i'm all with ya! I tried moving away from California once (umm... a few times) and always ended back here. Its the weather, you can't beat it. Well, i think you should find a good place for your son to grow up. I'm also a dad with 3 girls (lots of work).
