Well I wanted to get this test done when it wasn't so hot, and on a day where it wasn't so bright that the "unfiltered" shots would be completely blown out.

Anyway, here's the link to all the pictures.

Here's the link to the videos -

The videos should be pretty much self-explanatory in the file description. All are raw mts files.

Some notes:

I didn't focus in between shots as much as I should have. I took the pictures first, then the videos. Around 6:38 P.M. here in Ohio (E.S.T.). Also, I should have arranged the order better, but I wanted to make sure of what I was taking and I didn't feel like taking the filter on and off more than I needed to. For example, the first few pictures are 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, then 300mm, all without the filter. Then I left it @ 300mm and put the filter on, and did the tests that way.
Also, some are not in focus as I said earlier, but it was more important that I got the description of what I was taking correct.

Also, this will take you quite a long time to download. I have it throttled somewhat as I have only 5 megabit "up" and I'm hosting this from my own web server.

Thanks,
Shawn

thanks. nice test.
only two questions:
- are focus was set before filter attached or focusing was thru filter ?
- distance from camera to mug ?

picture are really sharp.

Focus was sometimes set with the filter on with the minimal settings. I should have focused more often; but sometimes zoomed all the way in you barely touch the camera (and I had it locked tight on a tripod) it'd get off focus a bit. I'm not gentle by any means, and keep this in mind - this was all one take. I didn't retake anything as I was busy writing down the settings I was using.
I'd say the distance was maybe 30 feet or so.
