That's a Libec you've got your setup sitting on, right?
Which one LS38, LS55 or something beefier?

Actually its main purpose is not for monitor attachment Which in this case is ikan V8000HD but as a handle for whole setup. I've found it nearly impossible to move and carry camera around without having some sort of handle. And this one is blessing. It is perfectly balanced, strong, made of steel. Relatively light. I don't know how other people carry their setup. After mounting so much accesories on it the HVX handle is not of any use any more.

Yes this is Libec LS38. This setup is on its limit.

I had the same Idea. Time to go to my machine shop.
I like the tactical look of your set - but you should include a bracket for the gun. ;-)

So that piece was machined custom right?
Do you still have the design, and how much did it cost ya?
If the handle were a tad thicker at it's thinnest part and it were made of aluminum it would be an interesting piece to buy!

Yes it was machined costum for SGpro-base rail and HVX setup.
I have engineering background so I went to my workshop and made it for $40 material worth as well as matte box which is from aluminum. Design was inspired by RED as you can see. Yes it would be better if handle is a little bit thicker at it's thinnest part but just for the looks, as it is steel it is strong as hell. I tried it to be as lite as possible.
Originally I had an idea to build it of aluminum but didn't have one piece of tool that was needed for machining aluminum.
