Hi everyone.

2 days ago I made this little creepy videoclip ( MatCreep ).

Now I'm finished with my second little clip called "The Colors of the Night". I just wanted to show how beautiful the night can be.
Overall it took me like 2 1/2 hours to make it. 1 hour of shooting and 1 1/2 of post production.

Have fun !

The Colors of the Night

Nice night shots! The backlit shots worked really well, had that whole Tony Soprano-with-cigar look to it.

Sehr gut!

That looks very good. What type of lighting set up did you use? I am new to the game and any pointers you give would be greatly appreciated.

very elegant in its simplicity- you let the images speak for themselves. I love stuff like this. Mehr und schnell!

I also think this is some of the better nighttime footage I've seen. and this was shot on the dvx, right? haha, wow. great colors, great exposure. good job.

Thank you guys for all the positive comments.

@ action junkie: The song has been taken out of the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack of The Chronicles of Narnia by Harry-Gregson Williams. It has some very good melodies in it.

After having watched about 50 videos on this board I have to say something to the whole dvxuser community:
I can't really understand how some people here on the board make their dvx100 footage look so bad and videolike. I mean, come on guys, it is not the camera at all - show some effort and an eye for good shots then it will look way better.
For example if you shoot a scene where a guy stands in front of a white wall - It can't look good ! White walls are the worst thing to have in the background, that's my opinion. Play with the focus and the zoom.

- It is your decision if you want to make your films look like a video / amateur or like a movie / professional. The camera gives all you need, it is your job to use it right! -

TPR- I think your footage looked good. Nice way to package your initial trials. I also agree with what you said about the video-esque appearance of some of the examples posted. I started a thread about what makes a film over in the cafe section. It garnered some very good responses. I also agree with the idea of not expecting the camera to make it look like a movie for you.
