My Reel

Looked prett good Michael. The one thing that stuck out to me was the opening shot with the pan. Once the actor passed the column and goes down a step, he is framed so low that it was distracting. I would cut it at the column. It also killed the momentum for me. Other than that, it had a good rhythm.

It looks like he meant to do this, so we can see the talent in the BG. Yes it could've gone a tad lower for framing purposes, but I think the shot was suppose to go from foreground to background. Just could of used a little lower framing.

Am I right Mike?

Nice reel man,

Thanks.

I would say you are both right.
Yes, I wanted the eye to go to the guy in the BG but it could have been framed just a tad lower for the final shot. I think I can adjust it in post though. I'll give it a shot and post just that sequence.

Any chance you can add a matte to the whole project, play with it in that area on your Y axis?

My reel is almost uploaded Mike! I did the matte 2.35 : 1.

Nice looking reel Mike. I see you managed to cut around a lot of the shots of Ian but since he's in a lot of the stuff you do, that's kind of hard to show his best work and not make it look like the same movie.

The last shot was great but would have been nice if the door closed in time with the music and we heard the sound of the slam. Just a thought.

Overall, great shots that showcase your visual style (very distinctive).
