**** UPDATE*** I just found out that PUFF DADDY likes my music video... so much so that he TWEETED 4 times!!!! Check it out at his twitter "iamdiddy"

This is crazy... I never thought the vid with get this kind of exposure...

Here is a music video I shot and edited. Shot it with a Canon T2i and a few scenes were shot with the RED (didn't have much time to play around with the RED, but the thing is a beast!).

This was shot over three nights. Cast and crew are friends. Let me know what you think.

p.s pls watch in HD as SD from youtube does not do justice to the quality of the footage.

It wasn't really my style but I have one criticism that would apply even if it was... Those horizontal split screens did not work at all. Split screens are tricky beasts but you also seemed to change the aspect ratio from 2.35:1 to 16:9 for them. I think you should stick with one aspect ratio unless you have a very good reason to change it.

As far as the shooting goes - well done. But -

This style of music really needs someone to shoot a video wayyyy outside the box IMO. That would draw more attention, because they're all done in a very similar way.... outline wise.

1. Scenes in a club- check
2. Hot girls - check
3. Lots of style and fashion - check

So really...it's not the job you did that I'm critiquing. (because it is very well done and executed with a good feel) I'm just suggesting that if someone did a concept with a different story line....it might stand out.
To my point - at the end the guys were just messing around and laughing. That showed them in a different light than we usually see from music videos.
I can just imagine the same guys and girls in a grocery store or some other non typical location and shot loosely with them having fun (with very minimal lip syncing). Irony is overused in Indie Rock...but seldom used in R&B/Hip Hop.

(I do understand the risk that doing such a thing involves....because people almost EXPECT the things you included from this type of video.)

Great Job..... I'm a very hard critique on Music Videos & while not the best I will say this is a very solid project. You can keep working and making money..... NICE !!
