my new comic-book

Loving it. Remind me, what you've teased us with is the initial storyline, right? How it all begins at the beginning?

Keep it up and keep it going, its a good start so far. Put me on the list for the first run, okay?

Awesome!! alveraz, your a man of many talents in many different mediums.

This comic has a nice style. It looks very dark and compelling. Great work and good luck to you.

Can I nitpick? It should be "your elitist family" in the third page of post #23, not "you're." :) (Not your fault, I know.) I like the artwork in this, nice style to it.

Actually, it IS his fault since he is the writer! Shame on you! Shame on you AlvarAz!

Just kidding.

Doh! Should have caught that for sure, I'm on it! And penguin, it's spelled Alveraz, not Alvarez, shame on you!

:)

Great stuff Alveraz! I'm definitely interested in finishing out more of the story so job well done there. I love the antiqued/splatter texture in the back ground colors, so props to your colorist. One thing I'm not a fan of (and this is just my meager, wish I was a better artist myself, opinion) is your current cover. For whatever reason it doesn't "call to me" and would make me want to pick it up off the shelf. Maybe it's just the placement of the text. It also bugs me he has a pillar coming out of his back. I know it's a building in the back ground but the composition bugs me.

Anyway, good luck on getting this made. I hope it does so I can pick up a copy.

EDIT: I do love your Overground Logo:thumbsup:

That's cool, that tower out of the back was a problem for me too, but I didn't trust my instinct and failed to mention it to him when he sent me the sketch, so I lost out on that one. Thanks for the observation, it all helps.

Not sure if I mentioned it but this is one of two covers. The other one will be done by Ryan Stegman, who is an artist on one of the current spider-man titles at Marvel, so depending on what he turns in, we may go with that one. He's got a crazy schedule though so we did this one in case he doesn't make the deadline.

Thanks again guys!

Al - I was an avid comic book reader back in the day and I would love to get a copy when it comes out. It definitely has the feel of one.

Absolutely, Charli. If memory serves you're in Santa Monica right? Have you hit up Hi De Ho comics there? It's a great shop is so inclined.

looks really cool, i can't wait to read the whole thing!

my nitpick may not matter since it's about the cover design, but I don't like the placement of the tall building behind him...kinda looks like it sticking up his arse! :)
