My journey with the FS700

Guys, here is the movie/documentary that my brothers, Joe and Cath has been working so hard on. So happy that it will be coming out in march. Shot with the Fs700/2XMark3/Mark1/Black magic Pocket camera. There are 4 story and this is just one of them.

Thank mate - I have come along away from just a guy who bought this great camera as a hobby....to be have almost 50 videos in just a year on vimeo and now making his first film/doco. Sometime you just have to tell yourself you can do anything if you take the time to take the good & the bad feedback. Keep going out there, perfect you owns style and skills.
 
nice video, master-of-against-the-sun-shots. Nevertheless I had different expectations when I read "wedding video" ;-)

Thanks guys, I am not much a technical guy but I like to focus on my framing and my style but in time I will figure it out the technical side of things.

No doubt it's a compliment that your work has been seen and selected. But be careful my friend with giving your work for free. It wont pay neither your living nor your equipment. Sometimes there is a good reason to do so and you have to decide for yourself whether there will be one or not. And if you decide give your work for free don't forget to fix all agreements and settlements in a written contract which is signed before you hand over anything. It's my experience from 25yrs in advertising business.

Hey Scott, In Adobe CC I just use Three Color Correction. It was a very simple to give me that red/yellow + bring up the contrast just so it give me more of warm sunset feel to all the footages. Nothing special.

Learning how to shoot running shot with mounting my Fs700 on the back and the side of the car. Run and gun but it was fun cause my camera didnt fall off the car hehe

Thanks. Feel so good to have lots of people follow you on vimeo even-though you are a nobody. I am going push myself this year to a new hight. Exploring the possibility in shooting something beautiful on my own :-)
 
Absolutely! If you lived in my part of the world, I'd hire you as a cinematographer any time. (I direct, the visual side of things is something I am constantly looking to improve). You have a great eye! I think every one here looks forward to what you shoot next!
