I test my HMC150 and all the footage comes noisy. even at day light, I was shooting at the track and when shooting the dark soil you can see noise.

not happy at all
not mentioning few shotsI did inside my house at night time.

Should i try to Exchange it at the store were I bought it or send it over Panasonic?

what could be painless?
bad luck for ma I guess

So what settings were these "tests" done at? Scene file? Gain setting? Check ALL your settings before coming to a conclusion.

could be settings or more than likely its what you are viewing it on. my dell lcd shows every bit of noise on any video thats displayed on it wether its from the 150 or from a dvd etc. the 150 footage looks so much better on a hdtv.

Yes check the Gain. the 1st time I used the cam it was set to gain 18db. Try to view it in lcd tv.

Try resetting your camera. Its in the manual page 83 I believe.
Make sure all your subjects are properly exposed. DRS should be off to when in shooting in 60p or 60 i.
Turn the sharpness of your hdtv down when viewing through HDMI . It adds a weird noise pattern on the image.
Hope this helps .

This is very true... my dell 24" Is very noisy where my 42" DLP TV has 0 noise.

You can lower your master ped a few marks, that may help.

Make sure your gain is OFF!

If it's a LCD, its still going to show more than normal noise... And depends on the make and model... I played footage on a new Sanyo 42 and it looked like garbage pixilated noise everywhere...

You have an example or 2??? You lower the master ped?

This forum needs that "This Thread is worthless without pictures" :badputer:
