my Heart Is Vain - a cut 2 the chase production (VersuS & Deneb79)

Not much going on lately, we are prepping up for our first 2 days of shooting this weekend. We have all our stuff ready, we worked again the shots with deneb yesterday and feel that we are quite ready, so I hope that our first 4 scenes will go smoothly and I will have a lot of stuff to share from next week.

UPDATE ON THE DOOR BETWEEN

For those of you who remember what it was like almost 2 months ago, The Door Between is still spreading its wings and it will be flying over Athens next on Wednesday the 6th of December at 21:30 in PLATFORM Festival, competing for the Audience Grand Prize!

The Door Between on the Big Screen!! Yahoooooo! (tm) HAHAHAH!

John, that's awesome, man!!! Congrats!!!

Wow, maybe I should put "Maliboo" in a fest or two... don't want to be the odd man out... :cheesy:

Thanx guys!

Tommy you should definitely try it! YEsterday I mailed the two movies in 3 foreign festivals, 2 in the states, 1 in the UK. It's worth it!

well right now for Love Is THe Most Deceptive Feeling and The Door Between, I am only considering another international film festival in Cyprus. But i wont do anything else for those two since I have a lot of confidence in my Heart Is Vain and I will put all my effort in that one once it's shown here on February!

I used withoutabox for the festivals in the states and uk, its really helpful though for the US festivals there was a fee but what the heck....

In IMDB I think, there is a huge list of festivals and from there you can visit the sites and see which ones you can send your movie to.

Last year we had our first 2 shorts shown in 4-5 festivals in Greece and I'm telling you, it's quite cool. From one we even got a certificate of some sort :D

In last year's PLATFORM festival, we had our very first short film and there were family and friends and it was amazing! Well we didnt stop laughing throughout the film with Stratos but still, seeing something you created on a big screen with lights out...man....that's something!

UPDATE

If you are interested in contacting us (me and stratos) you can use from now on our mail: info@c2tc-movies.com

Use it also for sending stuff!

VersuS-

For some reason I thought that I had already stopped by this thread- guess not. Anyway- I like all the BTS info you have going on here. Sounds like quite the project - 13 scenes huh? Impressive. I hope the filming goes well for you!

Hey Ryan! Thanx for stopping by!!! Thanx for the support! Yeah 13 scenes....why do people think they are too many? Should I start worrying??? Hmmmm

No prob!

Too many? Possibly- but then again I do not know the story. One of the things that I have been learning through this short form story telling process is that the films that keep it simple usually tend to do better. (I'm not saying that your film will not do well, just noticing a pattern.) I think when the story gets too big the 6 minutes format it suffers when it is chopped down to 6 minutes.

I looks like you have some good things going on here- If you are confident that your story will work, don't let others deter you - just make sure that your story will make sense to an outsider watching it. (This was the biggest problem with the original 6 minute cut of Sparrow - we thought it made sense, but that was because we knew the rest of the story and were filling in the blanks.)

Good luck!

Hey John, I didn't wish you a Happy Thanksgiving because I am sure it is just an American Holiday that we celebrate. So, I will will instead wish you a Happy ThankGuiness! (which can be celebrated any day of the year and in any country! :) )

Good luck with you shoot this weekend! Looking forward to updates!!!!!!!!

And remember...... Happy ThankGuinness!
