my Heart Is Vain - a cut 2 the chase production (VersuS & Deneb79)

Hey John, I really like your script man! It has a very high production value... now it's just a matter of making it come off on screen, which I'm sure you'll do just fine with.

Thanx Tommy! THat means a lot!

UPDATE

We started doing our storyboards/shot lists yesterday. Man, that is some exhausting procedure!!!

We also had our first meeting with our lead actress! She is very positive about all this, she is a stage actor and hadnt had a tv/film experience so far so she is really eager in working with us. She liked the story and Erica's character so that is always a good thing. And she is really willing to work hard.

We also discussed about doing rehearsals this Friday (& weekend) and since she has a lot of free time in November, we started talking about starting shooting earlier if we are ready with our shot lists and locations/setups.

So...good stuff happening I guess....

Er....storyboards are way too kindergarden level to worth any look at....and they're hand drawn...

I aint got a scanner but when i complete them i ll take a photo of them for you guys

Whoa! How many days do you plan on filming?

We have a schedule for 4 days shooting. To be honest....if we were a bigger crew or had more experience, it could be done in 2 days but we want to be on the safe side and we have 5-6 scenes outdoors so we dont know how the weather will turn out to be...

HOWEVER, in our meeting last night with our lead, she told us she is quite free this month so we MIGHT do a few scenes that involve just her in a couple of weeks and get a good head start..

Our top priority right now is to finish our storyboards and we ll have to visit our locations again coz I havent seen some of them so dont really know if a dolly can move there or if i could get a wide shot someplace else...you know...so i hope all this is covered in the next 5-6 days, we do our first rehearsals this weekend and then we see...

ps. half the scenes take place in one room and we will be using deneb's new flat for that but he hasnt moved in yet, still getting furniture and all so this is a thing as well that we have to wait for...anyway...it definitely looks MUCH MUCH better than anything we ever done before so if we screw this, it will be our own fault, lol

Wow! 103 shots? I don't think I'd be standing after the first 20 or so.... :)

Sounding good, John.

well...it seems like a big number of shots...but i dont think they re that many....i dont know...maybe we re doing something wrong....

and by the way...its like 13 scenes,103 shots...around 8shots per scene...so its hot that big a deal....well actually it is, if you take into consideration that 6 scenes take place on the same location...so you have like...50 shots in one place, in one day....hahahahaha....dont let Stratos read this...

I think you'll be fine... in Smuggler's we had about 65 shots each day during principle (4 days) so that averages out to roughly 260 shots in 4 days. (all 8 hr. days except one 10 hr. day)

Yeah, I have complete confidence you'll get er' done :)

man! support is one thing, putting pressure is totally different story!!! :crybaby:

Seriously now, thanx again! I've had some great feedback from people who read the final version of the script and this has been amazing BUT they said and its true, that this script and this story and this character needs some REALLY GOOD CAMERA WORK (directing that is). So......lol...you ll know who to blame..
