My G35 test footage

That one is better, but to me none of them approaches the level of sharpness that I've seen with the Letus or the SGPro. Ideally the subject should "pop" out of the screen, out of focus background or not. Not to say that the G35 isn't capable of sharper images, but it doesn't seem like these are the best that the adapter can do. Looks a lot like images that I used to get when I shoot wide open.

flipsidekrew, where are you located? I'm sure there are people in your area with HD cameras who would love to try out the G35.

Wait,

That was pretty funny Flipsidekrew! Didn't even see that twist with the book coming. I'll be laughing at that one for a while.

I agree Huy, nothing like the sharpness of the SGpro or the Letus Extreme... but I can safely say that I find the images much prettier than the Letus image... nowhere nearly as fast and much less grain, for the Letus, but I guess this adapter doesn't have anything other than the lack of batteries or moving parts on the SGpro Rev.3... hands down.... no contest... other than perhaps a VERY gorgeous look that is different from the SG's... I would love to see how they mix together... I don't think it would be a close match, but I might be wrong...

So I helped out my friend to make a video for this girl. Anyways he doesn't want anyone to see it but... whatever new G35 footage.

probably exactly what he would say if he knew i posted this.

I haven't had any luck with the HD cameras here at my college, they're all pretty much booked for projects. I'm located up in the Napa Valley btw. Heres some more test footage I took a week ago. This ones pretty shaky compared to the others, sorry I was kind of distracted. Anyways enjoy.

Nice video. it made me feel happy!!!

Now do you remember what the F-stop was on your lens?
the image seems to be soft...have you tryed closing the F-stop more for sharper image?

it looks more like the Extreme to me.
maybe a lot of people won't go crazy this time for the G35....

the bokeh is really remarkable. But as stated, everything is soft and the grain is a bit of a pain. Wonder how it holds up in HD?

corrected one of the grabs. Looks very filmic now :)

Gotta love curves. Can't believe i thought i could color grade before using them... man.

Actually PaPa.. I think you got a little trigger happy with the contrast, but I can't blame you

I think that it only needs a tiny little flat line all the way at the blacks... just a little crush in the bottom end, like you did, but not so big... I like the grays, they work

and I have to agree, that it is a bit soft all over, at least it is constant through and through... I bet in 1080p to 480 there would be no problem with sharpness though, so that will work very well!!

oh fine, here is something a little flater. But don't push me... DONT! :)
