Derrick,

Thanks, we used one 75watt light and one 100 watt light.

Nikon 50mm 1.4 and I think our ISO was at maybe 400. Not sure. My brother did the shooting and that was his first time touching that camera.

Camera settings were all set to 0.

Color grading was done using levels in Premiere.

looked incredible for just having two low wattage lights! im super impressed and very jeleous haha.
where did you guys shoot this? the location is very cool

A friend of mine just bought a warehouse so next day we were there to shoot. Can't really complain. A camera for under a grand and gives your results like this. T2i is a no brainier for some folks. It does have its limitations but if you know how to deal and work around it, this is an amazing little camera.

If you guys get a chance here's some of the out takes. No color correction.

Cinematography and tech specs aside (nice look though) this is a pretty cool short. Good concept and nice performances guys.

Thanks Jimparto and IanT! Kind of hard improvising sometimes. You don't really know if the joke works till you show it to other people. Yeah, I was laughing my ass off but that doesn't mean Joe will. Glad you guys found it funny.

Funny Stuff man, great job. There should be a part II to this movie, good job!!

Lol this was the funniest (and best shot) thing I have seen in a very long time. The quality of this video is excellent even without the color correcting, the lighting was perfect (was there even a set-up?) the acting seems so natural, the shots are really good. I'd love to see a series!

Anyway, the only thing that shot out at me was the big guy's backpack straps and black shirt, the aliasing makes them look like some sort of swirly eye illusion - this is the biggest flaw of DSLR cams =[. Even a hint of stuff like that would ruin a film production. Does anyone know how something like this could be over-come?

Thanks Snapper, definitely has some aliasing issues but I do believe if you have strong content most average folks wouldn't care. After all this camera is less than a grand so I really can't complain too much. Thanks for viewing it.

I just try to avoid shooting anything with crazy horizontal and vertical lines. Not sure if a firmware would fix this issue. It could be hardware, then again, I'm not a tech dude. :)

Haha, wow! That stuff rocks, man! Amazing quality and man was that acting great! You have some talented pals. And I actually like the grading, looks awesome like this.

I think I have to start saving some money to get a T2i myself, I have a D90 but it's only good for stills.

Anyway, great work here pal! Would love to see some more or a kind of continuation to the story.

Thanks Chris and Ragunaru. These guys aren't really actors or anything. Just bored friends.
We're thinking of possibly doing web series but who knows. I'm still trying to finish my latest feature.

Here's some behind the scene pics.

The T2i is fitted with a custom Formatt Matte box with a Redrock baseplate/rails. Hopefully I'll be able to supe
this up with a monitor, follow focus, and battery grip. I like this little T2i so far. Pictures were taken with a Nikon D90.

We wanted to do more skits but we ran out of batteries. There was supposed to be a break dance
battle between the two but again, ran out of batteries. Thanks again for viewing.

ps:

Go check out my latest feature which is currently in post.

Oh man, that Red Herring looks really damn good! Like really good! Hollywood level ****. Or maybe it is Hollywood level ****?

And man, I hope you better consider that web series, it would rock! :)

Red Herring is an indie and it also stars Vincent Pastore (Sopranos) Holly Vallance (DOA, Taken) Chyna McCoy (Matrix I, II) the mayor of Vegas, playmate of the year, and many others. This is the first time I directed a film outside of Cali.

If you like what you see here then you'll like our next feature titled "Kungfused"

Kungfused

- Jackie Chan will be proud. :)

Greeches- once I get some free time I will do more but this time do some fast moving action stuff. We'll see how the T2i holds up.

Thanks everyone.
