My first music video, any feedback would be very appreciated. I'm still learning dslr video. Edited in Premiere CS4, color correction Magic Bullet Looks, T2i/550D, lenses Tamron 28-105mm 2.8 (90%), Vivitar 28mm 2.8 (10%), Igus 10-40 DIY slider.

Thank you

It looks like magic bullet, not really sure if that is a good or bad thing but you can tell for sure. and a lot of it seems off as far as the vocals matching up with the music, but that could be my slow computer. The edit is good but you stay with some shots a little too long. I like it though.

Seems like karaoke , the artist just looks like he was lip singing. Looks really really off. Also bad choice in white outfit, makes him like some glowing Angel or something. Overall I do not like it, but I respect you and the artist for putting a vision together.

was he actually singing in real life? You should play the music while shooting and have him sing along or it reads poorly on screen.

The track itself is very air-y if that makes sense, such a booming voice sounds like hes right next to you, not sure the visuals match. Might be the audio that is so off-putting though. Visually it looks good, just doesn't match the audio in my opinion. I like the fade in of the hands on the side when hes center framed, interesting idea.

Looks nice. I also saw one sync problem in the first close up of his mouth.

The reason this video doesn't work for me is that the vocal is so ( audio ) close and intimate it makes it unbelievable that he's actually singing in the video.

Now if this were shot with him on stage, or in a studio, in front of a nice vintage microphone
it would have made sense.

He was lip singing indeed. Original location fell through right before the shoot so I had to improvise. White outfit - that was out of my control. I see some sync problems too that need some attention.

thanks for all feedback

Similar to what Moojangles said, the track sounds very lounge, but he's singing at a beach. It looks really odd, to the point it would've been better to reschedule at a suitable location (jazz bar?) than try to improv. Nothing ever works how you want when you try to improv too much

X 2 !
The scenery throws it off. it's beautiful scenery, don't get me wrong, but just doesn't 100% go with the song. Also, I'd like some kind of storyline in the video....
