My first music video (550D)

In fact my first video full stop, so I know I made a lot of mistakes. In general I'm still happy with it though. Learned a lot for the next ones (I've shot a few more since, but not edited yet).

The main thing I'm unhappy with, is that we were supposed to shoot more of the artist outdoors, walking to the venue using a steadicam. Unfortunatly it started raining heavily, so we had to improvise and film in a local coffee shop. Because of this, I don't feel that the first half flows very well. She was originally supposed to be getting her hair done, then on her way to her show to perform. As it is, she appears to just pop up in random locations.

I messed up on so many things! I forgot to change the indoor/outdoor white balance many times, got the lighting wrong causing shadows, had to edit using out of focus shots, etc, but the 14 years old singer is very happy with it, so all is good :)

Let me know what you think. Good or bad, as I want to learn from mistakes. Thanks!

Hey, thanks very much! Glad you've taken the time to comment.

I agree about the beginning. I much prefer the peformance half of the video to the first half, which just doesn't seem to work at all.

I didn't really consider about the singer not standing out with all the other girls. Very good point.

I still have a LOT to learn, which is why I haven't charged anything for the 5 videos I've shot so far. I don't feel like I could charge a band anything for a video of this quality, so I'll have to learn quickly!
