My first movie

My wife was the DP on this short. It's her first time doing it. Doing the zoom out and re-framing was a good challenge for her. A number of the other takes were unusable because the movement was pretty bad. Of course when she nailed it, I was not happy with the performances or some fighter jet from the local air base buzzed us. When the actors nailed the performance and the movement was not "too" bad, I chose that take.

I actually edited that originally with a disolve from the book to the 2 shot but I was not happy with that look. I really wanted the pull out on it and since there was just a little shake in it, I decided to go with that shot as it was.
 
The reason I did not post it here, J.P. was that it was not shot on a DVX. Was not sure how stringent that rule was.
 
I re-cut the film based on feedback and I think it's a huge improvement (you can see the new cut at the original link). Thanks everyone who took the time to look at this and provide feedback!
