I would have kept it going well into the night, but the battery died. Took hours and hours to process in Photomatix, but it's fun overall. It would be great if FCP had a proper flicker filter.

Wow, your video was so good you got a member who's been apart of the site for 4 years to make his first post. That sir, is impressive...and your video was awesome. I'd really like to start doing that - advice/tips/how-to?

Again, fantastic work,

Kegan

Thanks.

I learned a lot from this:

I set my camera up on a very steady tripod for several hours. I think in total, I took over 1500 shots, so around 500 after processing. The worst part was waiting for the images to process, took forever. One of these days I'll try to do a 24 hour time lapse. Need a lot of battery power though.

No complaints here with a Chinese intervalometer. Instructions were a bit difficult at first with all the mistranslations but I got there in the end!

Really great video. Not usually a fan of HDR branded imagery, but once I cast aside my prejudices I got into it!

Opteka from Amazon eh? That's the one I was looking at and really didn't want to spend more than $50 anyway.

Thanks for the tip,

Kegan

The only reason I don't recommend getting the Chinese intervalometers on Ebay is because you may or may not receive it. I ordered one once. Waited two weeks, three weeks, four weeks..... A month and a half later, it was concluded that the product was frozen in some post office vortex. The company sent me a refund, but I wasted a lot of time with them.

did you have to do that to each picture..and can u do a batch edit..and do them all at once?

I manipulate the first image in Photomatix then apply it to every shot in the folder with batch processing. That's the part that takes forever.

Nice timelapse. I ordered one from a company called Satechi out in Cali. Shipping was fast, price was $50, $100 less than Canons. Extremely easy to use and has an on/off switch. Just waiting for the clouds to to be perfect in Florida now! Having a dayjob sucks also...

Yeah, I hate working days and seeing an awesome cloud filled sky. This one I shot when I got home early. I do have a great view of midtown Manhattan from my job, so that may be my next mission.
