My first A1 music vid....

Great job!

Well shot and edited. My only criticism would be that there was generally too much headroom on the shots of the lead singer when he was walking.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for your two cents- makes sense (no pun intended!) now that you mention it.
It's a learning process....

Thanks for your feedback:thumbup:

Were there a lot of people around when the singer was being filmed? He looks pretty nervous...Cool location though!

Nope, not a lot of people around. It was 8 am and just some old people walking the boardwalk.
The problem was probably more me. My communication can be poor and I really didn't fill him in on what I was looking for. We were in a hurry and basically I said "go over there and walk over here". The first time through he didn't even sing along.

Thanks for checking it out.

ddp, I've been PMing you as I struggle thru my latest video.

Some comments/questions on yours:

I love the infinite black background behind the musicians. Simple but effective. The drummer's tattoos look great in B&W. The A1 handles the contrast & details nicely.

What kind of dolly to get your movements?

All musician shots are hand held except the first guitar pull-back shot which was on a tripod. That was done with the auto-zoom option which I think is a truly great feature of the A1. I just wish it had a customizable delay setting so you could hit the button and then wait say 5 seconds before the zoom started.
The singer shots were done with a Glidecam 2000 which I really suck at but can usually get a few seconds of usable footage per shot.

I feel for ya on your struggles, it's a never ending battle..... Send me a link when you're up and running.

Thanks again for the feedback,
