In vegas, I am doing 29.97 fps render, progressive, 16x9, 720x480, 8mbit cbr.

When I have the finished product its HELLLLLLA grainy, super super grainy.
I swear it looks like old ass 8mm stock.
Anyone got any idea why?

WMV doesn't look nearly this grainy.

I have no idea what is causing this, sorry, but as you said, it is incredibly sad to see a post with 50 views and no replies, so here is one. Even if it is totally useless.

Wow, no one cares at all do they? I actually had the same problem with my footage, though it was in after effects and final cut. I shot with the master ped at +10 and brought it down in post, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. My friend said it might but he doesn't know stink diddley. So, really this is a pointless comment that has no helpful information but to say that I feel for you because I had the same problem and was also told to suck it newb. God that's depressing.

Psssssst! Hey! A little secret - make lemonade. A little grainy? Make it more so.

Found yourself stuck with one bad actor? Have the actors match that performance.

A critical scene got blown out? Blow out the rest of the film...

Style, style, style.

No one will know you goofed unless you tell them. :)

This is beginning to sound like a Windows XP forum...
"It's not a bug, it's a feature! Those crashes prevent hackers from compromising your security!"
:)

So it's not grainy when it is in vegas, only after you render out? What format are you rendering out to?
