The light is one I got from eBay (i know I made a post a while ago) for about $20, if I remember, and it has hot-shoe mounts on both sides and on the top. The mic fits on pretty loosely.

It's pretty cool :D

Hi Guys

I'm running HMC80's which basically have the same "insides" but a lot more external controls and the LCD inside the EVF so you get an awesome EVF and no touch screen either (yay!!)
I have the "eBay" 126 LED light as well as the 160 led light with barn doors and at weddings it makes a HUGE difference. Our little 1/4" chips suffer like crazy when the light level drops and with an led light you can essentially get rid of any major gain and get the iris working again...images in low light are back to "pin sharp" and the light is fairly concentrated too so in a low light environment you can light up the subject without destroying the ambience...just don't get too close !!! I find around 6' to 10' is brilliant !! Any closer and you start getting zebras on the subject and over-exposure....!

Well worth the buy ... if you are also running shotgun mics (I use Rode's on each camera) careful that the light doesn't foul the mic suspension ..I had to make an extra bracket to keep my light and mic away from each other!!

Nice!!! Does the light really make a difference? The the footage look better?
If it's dark, yes, it's amazing for such a cheap/little light. But in the day, don't expect much, unless your subjects face is in the shadows.

Also, don't shine it right in someones eyes, it's bright!!!
