OK - so the XH A1....

For high speed action shots that i want to slow down, what shutter speed is best? Something like 1/100 or 1/1000 - which way?

My brain just isn't working.....

Thanks!

maybe 1/180 , but you will want to over crank. for the most slowwed down shots with the camera not moving ,i would use 60 fps in a 24 timeline. something like 2.3x speed . if the camera is moving or panning could give a little stutter. for a smoother results ,shoot 60fps at 30 timeline.a really fast shutter speed will look good in slowmo . but will become a bit stuttery it you drop frames to go back to reg speed. i only go crazy with the shutter if i know it will be slowmo only. anyone have a different ideas ,i would like to hear. thanks.

from my experience 1/180, 50i, EDIUS 50i timeline, slowed down by 50% looks awesome, never had to work with NTSC timelines...
