GH13 my battery went through the wash

Looking for a woman
just pulled out the laundry and found the battery to my gh1 in there. i popped it in the camera and it looks like it still works. is there anything i should watch out for, or do you think it is fine to use?
 
better to replace as battery are chemistry thing. it's was in aggressive environment, that may lead to damage of battery case, which leads to internal pressure control loss or leakage ... dehermetisation of li-ion battery lead to fire ...

It's probably alright, but why chance it? You could
A. Buy a $60 or $20 battery now and be confident knowing your camera isn't going to explode/corrode away/catch on fire.
Or
B. Hope none of the aforementioned things happen, but possibly have to buy a new $700 to $1000 camera body.

Just me, but I take A, but if you do decide you want to risk it, I'd put the battery in a bowl of rice for a day or two and let the moisture be drawn out so that there isn't water inside that could short the battery.
