My Audio is not in SYNC

My audio tracks are not in sync with my video footage. I'm capturing footage 720p via a firewire connection to my laptop with FCP. I've tried altering the drop frame and various other camera settings and FCP preferences and still can't get it to sync up. What's my problem?

Verify audio settings. The most common problem with audio sync in FCP is when you have the camera set to one audio configuration and FCP for another. In FCP, verify your Seqeuence and your Capture settings, they do not have to be the same, and if not, can cause this problem. That's where I'd start.

Verify all your settings in the camera. Verify the exact same settings in FCP for both Capture and Seqeunce. Especially the audio settings! Sample rate inconsistancies can cause problems.
