AC130: My AC130A vs. the upcoming Sony NX100 (or other affordable replacements)

Hello. I have a Panasonic AC130A. It has done me well for a reality show pilot, college graduations, sports, etc. But my C100 Mark II is what I use for the majority of the time. I owned an AF100 before it, and it was also my main cam instead of the AC130A. I have a really good job going for (American) high school football season right now. So that will end by December. And I don't think that the same job will happen again next year. I just bought the Canon 70 - 200mm F2.8 IS II, which was $2,000. So I've pretty well decided to sell the AC130A to offset that cost, once the football job ends, around December.

I will sell it knowing that I can easily rent a similar camera on jobs as I need it. For reality show work, I think I'll want to shoot B Cam on the DVX200, any way. It seems like it will be the perfect camera for that scenario. But I also want to know that if a job does come up that is ongoing that requires an ENG zoom camera (like another football season long job), that I have a good option to replace it, without losing much or any money on it. That is to say that the amount that I sell the AC130A for is close to what the subsequent (if needed) camera would be.

I've been reading up on the upcoming Sony NX100. $1,700 USD. 1" sensor, so not quite as large as micro 4/3, but quite a bit larger than the 1/3" sensor on the AC130. Has manual ND filters. 12x optical. But also has 24x zoom (that can be turned on or off) using a sensor crop function. So should be better than a "digital zoom" that we tend to collectively avoid.

I think it's a solid plan. As far as selling the AC130A goes-- it is currently going for around $1800 - $2200 on Ebay. So it kind of has me worrying that selling it even at $1700 would go against my conscience without telling them about the camera that I would personally spend that amount of money on-- the Sony. Especially if it's a local colleague. Do any of you see advantages of the Panasonic over the Sony? I guess just being Panasonic is one positive, if they prefer Panasonic. My colleague that I think might buy it tends to stay with Panny.

Any way, just wanted to put that out there. Thanks!
