music video...

Ok I am a 20 year old college student and this video was a class project last spring. I know that it is not near the quality of most of the videos on here but just thought I would post and get the insight of pros, gotta start somwhere I guess.
I was the DP and editor for the video, I also didn't have much say in the song so bear with me lol... thanks

This was definately a well thought out video, and the production seemed pretty strong. But there were a few areas that were kind of laughing.

- The video simply wasn't moody enough for the context of the video. The images were just too plain and too bright.
- The acting was OK, but it seemed like some of the actors just needed to loosen up a little bit. They seem to be a little camera shy.
- There was some color correction toward the end with flashbacks and whatnot that just seemed like the color was far too saturated (could be from what looks like some sort of 6 color editing or selective color stuff)
- The lighting was good overall, but there were a few times where it seemed that the lights were far too strong. When he took the pills, there were two distinct shadows coming off of him. You normally wouldn't see this inside of a house.

Anyway, those are just some things I wanted to bring to the surface. Once again, I thought it was a good video with a lot of potential. I guess it just needs tightened up a little bit. Good job.

Lawsuit, I appreciate the comments and I agree with you on your thoughts. the actors we had were just some students that were willing to help us out and we had no budget. This was my first attempt at lighting and we mostly used mini mole 250w fresnels. we also had a 1k fresnel and a 1k softbank.

When you say "not moody enough" what are you talking about specifically , just curious. what would you do differently to make it moody?
