music video

Great Video! Loved seeing the DVX being used for B & W footage! I also like the minimalist use of vertical lines and the GRFX here and there. Very classy. Good to see other Chicagoans out there advancing the craft! www.mikeorourke.com

I liked the video for lube fiasco pretty tight! How did you get a label to let you use the dvx for their artist? I do think it will hold it's own but NOT with film. Most viewers won't be able to tell.

But us filmmakers will.

sorry this is supposed to be under the lupe fiasco video topic.

For me i like a music video that runs on a linear idea. I.E. Using all one font, i like the graff. font you have, where it gets kinda shakey, that looks rad. in my oppinion using one thought throughout the whole post process works better than having stuff thrown around the video.

video was great along with the music good song man i real real enjoyed it . what were ur camera setting on the dvx ?? andare u using the dvx1ooa or b ? and what program did u edit on ? and what u do nd for CC ?? and ur lighting setup ??

i shot it (Udont want it with me video) with a 1st generation dvx100 we are PC based.edited with adobe premere pro 1.5 the look is in camera no color correction, lighting was 1 1k light the flashing sequences were done with digital stills i shot and adobe after effects 6.5 as well as the cloudy skys

in my experience most of the labels dont seem to have a clue as to what format is used as long as it looks good also i dont allow them any input on the projects i do most A&R'S seem to be clueless idiots scared to take chances. which is why most of todays "rap" videos seem redundant.

impakt,
I just saw this video on your site. Wow. Really nice! Loved it.
This is an excelent proof that you don't have to use film to make an great video. It has nothing to envy to many 35mm productions.

Man I just signed up to tell you that was HOT.

Keep up the good work on the editing. I like to shoot novice music videos myself and the editing cannot touch this. The song was good but the video made it better. That is proof that a good editor like yourself just adds to the song.

Keep up the good work!
