Hey all,

Our first music video with lots of notes taken from this very forum. Originally planned with two 7D, turned out to be one 7D and a rental 5DmkII an hour before the shoot. Mine had fried and wouldn't turn on during setup possibly from a hot signal. Our budget was simple, $200 for equipment and we did pro-bono work in filming and both editing. We had an empty one-day rental space in a dark alley in West Hollywood, which we had to make to look like a club scene. This is the result...

Cam A: 7D with Tamron 17-50mm F2.8
Cam B: 5DmkII with Canon 17-40mm F4L
Tripod: Weifeng/Fancier
Glidecam Pro4000
ProAim Jib
2 KinoFlo with Gels

Just wanted to provide a bit of the BTS. We arrived on location at about 6am and didn't finish ti after midnight, 18 hours of work!

What we rented:
- 5DMKII with Canon 17-40mm F4L
- 2 KinoFlo with Gels
- ProAim Jib
- Marshall Monitor (had to use Analog)

What we owned
- 2 7D with Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 (one fried, hence 5d rental)
- Weifeng/Fancier 717a fluid head with sticks
- Glidecam Pro4000, no vest (now sold and just ordered HD4000)
- LCD viewfinder

still prepping and getting things organized, we could of filmed in a garage and we still would of made a best attempt.

The artist provided the black backdrop which they wanted to use entirely and refused to use any of the natural environment.
Thanks again guys and I welcome constructive criticism as we have a lot to learn still.

Does not look believable. Also needed more light, a lot more light. Also the song is not very good either. Overall I would say descent project, but the song, location, visuals & so much just seems like a d list movie you watch on tv like around 3 in the morning. Also the lighting was very flat and bad. You could have easily rented an entire light kit for like a $100 and done a better job. Look at this excellent video so you can get ideas for the future
