Basic comment...

1) hate 2.40 aspect ratio... don't think it benefits the tone of the music in the least.
2) If the blurs were intentional, they were distracting. If they were not intentional, learn to get the focus 'right' and stick.
3) Was the sound 'live' and fed through a mixer? Audio people may have more appropriate criticism but it felt a little 'dead'.
Before the band started playing, there was some amount of 'low noise/rumble' so that could have folded into the band's sound.
4) Lighting... I think going for a bit more 'dramatic' lighting would be good. Looks like a 'back porch' setup, but perhaps waiting
until 'dark', then use individual lights on each member would perhaps made a different mood.

First things first, audio sounded horrible... Sounded like a distorted live feed. Second, way to many shots out of focus, this piece simply does not call for it..... Very very distracting. I also agree that the 2.35 aspect ratio does not fit this at all. Overall really really needs work. These guys need to be really famous before trying to do something like this. It just screams very very low budget.

I've seen simple videos with only one shot that were creative, but I really don't like this at all. Maybe next time.

on the contrary I do like the free lensing going on in this vid. (if its not free lensing it certainly looks like it). I just shot a vid using this technique over the weekend. However the subject matter lends itself to it more than this vid. I do think you used it 2 much though. I like the song also...but agree something is up with the audio. love the leads voice and style of music they have. I agree the lighting could be more interesting. its 2 flat for me. I like the colour grade.
