I honestly can't tell the difference. I tried looking for Canon's softness and Panny's sharpness to tell them apart but I think you've graded and matched them beautifully. I might be wrong in this but I think the uniform colour pallete (brown hair, skin and rocks behind her) throughout the video makes this look less apparent too by reducing the contrast. With video IMHO, the sharpness of Panny becomes apparent on light skin tones with high contrast backgrounds. Beautiful talent
Thanks for checkin out the video. Yeah most of the video is GH1 footage. The only time I preferred the 5D was in lower light scenarios. I personally dont think there is any difference between the 2 cameras performance in normal daylight as all one needs to do is match a grade. In most cases I preferred the GH1 raw material. Maybe its how I shot it, but it always looked great where the 5D had a tint that was difficult to pull color. Overall Im very happy with the results. My little secret is shoot with a circular polarizer in high contrast and outdoor scenes..Oh and a lot of post work
Hey ErikTande yeah you are spot on. However Im in a PAL region and filmed at 50fps. As you can see most of the shots were done like that. It just gives an amazing natural flow and feel to the video. Doing so also allows for a lot forgiveness of handheld errors. Motion doesn't become as erratic. Glad you enjoyed the video
