Music Video (lots of cameras!)

License plates! Also the scene with the joggers on the bridge. The effect was obviously composited but when the jogger disappeared on the wider shot she looked to be standing on the outer side of the bridge. Not that it matters as far as the song I liked it a lot. Visually on some scenes I could feel the connection to the music but the bad effects kind of ruined it for me.

Jesus, it took you nearly a year to make that?!? The edit was really disjointed, cuts to things didnt make sense (the lake/duck bit from the car in particular), post effect on that girl looked so out of place and the different cameras were really noticeable.
Simple concept shot better would have kept me interested longer I'm afraid.

Overexposure on digital sensors looks horrible. Get it exposed properly if possible, and manipulate in post.

ouch simon cowell is that you? :engel017::tongue:

December 1st all the way to September 2010? That's almost a year & you do understand that will never fly in the Music Industry. Now to comment on the video, sorry I did not like it at all. The cuts and dissolves from the car really felt disjointed.

I agree with TooTallTim you need to shoot easier and get your projects finished faster. In that amount of time you could have done 10 Music Videos if not more.

Thanks for the comments guys - even though they aren't complimentary in the main! I'll address a few of the points -

Firstly the time it took - there were a few things at play here. I wasn't under any time constraint as the song hadn't been mixed, so I worked on other films in the mean time - and I also have a day job that has been taking up more and more of my time! Also, because I was shooting in Ireland, rain was an issue. And I could only shoot on certain weekends. Having said that, if I had a deadline I would have shot faster and probably simpler!

I agree on the jogger shot - thing is, there was no budget to employ effects people, so I had to do it all myself, even though I hadn't used after effects before. But I do agree - it could be done better - no doubt.

Yes - I learned from the overexposure alright and would definitely do it in post were I to shoot for overexposure again.

I appreciate the comments though - they give me pause for thought.
