Music Video I Directed on the Canon T3i "Burn Away"

Hello everyone!

This is a music video I directed / shot / edited / dp'd using the Canon T3i - my first venture into DSLR's. I used the Canon 50mm lens for most of the scenes. A few of the wider shots (car shots) were done on the 18-55mm kit lens.

I is an oldz who has chronic pain & can't do much any more. Value you're ability to make movies/do creative work. Just keep building, don't be too hard on yourself, and have fun!

It is amazing just to be alive, and to have a chance to do what we love. I was always too much of a perfectionist, which kept me from enjoying what I was doing when I was doing it. /lecture

dope…did u shoot at a lower exposure and blow out the exposure in post to have more detail when u wanted to add the blown out surreal look?

the shots were good too…good job
 
Hello Crossroads Films thanks glad you liked it! I actually shot everything exposed as normal as I could. In post I used FCP7 and some simple Nattrass (spell?) pre-set fx and just tweaked on the basic color wheel to get that slight over-blown look mixed with the pre-set fx.
 
I enjoyed your video tremendously! It is such a relief to see this rather than the normal junk on youtube.
 
Oh wow. I had never seen this video before. It's amazing! I watched it 3 times already. good stuff!
