5Dmkii with a lensbaby. Used the camera strap for stability while walking, no rigs or FF. My arms were killing my by the end of the shoot.

Haha, I like the part in the song where they start sing the "New York" song by jayz and alicia keys, but interjects L.A. instead of newyork! It has a nice surreal parody feel to it, much like a statement on pop culture. Don't know if that was intentional or if she just liked the song. (maybe the whole song is copying the ny song, but I do not know the ny song well enough to know that.)

I will say that it has inspired me to use the lens baby and the D90 to do some dreamy effects.

I bet they were! Been there and don that.

Yeah I was walking backwards pushing the camera away from me to create tension in the neck strap. Worked nicely with the wide lensbaby, and I kept it smooth enough for the movement to work. Part of it makes me say "I don't need a shoulder rig!" the other part tells me to get some support system before my arms fall off on a longer shoot.

The lensbaby was incredible, we all fell in love with the look immediately. The dreamy effect is what the band wanted, and yes it is a cover of Empire State of Mind. Available on itunes or their website! Robotanists. In all seriousness, I liked the song enough to not hate it by the end of editing, great band.

Very beautiful piece and beautiful song. Intimate and tender.
Lead vocalist can work that camera like a movie star.
Lensbaby made the soul in the soulful pop out.
Nice shift in palette from the hallway to the exteriors.
With constraint comes great art. Well done.
