Music Promo with Black Pro Mist + ND 0.9 Filters!

Hey everyone,

I just finished this little promo for my buddy Eric Solomon, also in MTV's new show The Youth Electric. Check out what we put together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OWQj09JUeE

I shot it with a shoulder rig, 50 1.8, and a mattebox with a 1/8 black pro mist filter and ND 0.9 to get the shutter speed way down. The black pro mist is siicckk! I have to go and buy one now. The 7D is very sharp and it tones this down. It also makes a glow effect for over exposed portions

Is the slo-mo 60 slowed to 30? It's probably better for a solo singer but I have a hard enough time getting people to play at 30 to slow to 24.... playing at 200% speed would be tough!
 
haha! Man I completely agree with you. I had it cut where they were used very sparingly but Eric wanted them in more. Less is more! I'm showin' him your post
 
Hey Ihart, to answer your question, the slow-mo parts are at 60fps and conformed to 24. So we had to speed up the song 2.5 times. It only shows those shots briefly because it's difficult to sync the words at that speed
